18,000 New Trailers Ordered

New trailer orders rose nearly 25% in May. This trend has been ongoing since December. The orders show dry vans as the majority of new business. Dry vans were up almost 50% compared to last year. ACT research company polled a significant number of fleets across the country. 61% responded that they are planning new equipment investments in the next three months. Replacement demand is on the rise in the dry van segment and level across the board. Higher freight demand in the second half of the year will create more demand in many other segments.
