The U.S. Energy Information Adminastration (EIA) reported the national averge diesel fuel price decreased a penny to $4.03 per gallon in their report released December 5, 2012. This is ten cents higher than last year at this time.
All regions of the nation had a decrease in price with the exception of the East Coast. The East Coast increased a fraction of a cent to $4.10 per gallon. The Rocky Mountain region had the largest decrease with a price decline of seven cents, bringing the price down to $3.99 per gallon. The West Coast had a decrease of two cents from last week, it is now $4.10 per gallon on average. The Midwest went down a penny to $4.01 per gallon, while the Gulf Coast’s average price decreased by less than a penny to remain at $3.90 per gallon.
