WEEKLY DIESEL PRICES

United States on-highway diesel fuel price for the week of April 8, 2019 average is $3.093 per gallon. This price is up slightly from the previous week. The price was higher in every region in the country with the exception of the New England Region. California remains the highest at $3.910 per gallon. The most economical region is the Gulf Coast at $2.879.

DIESEL FUEL WEEKLY UPDATE

The on-highway average  diesel fuel price in the United States for the week of March 11, 2019 is $3.079 per gallon. This price is slightly higher than the previous week of $3.076. Hopefully, the market will stabilize and show a decline in the coming weeks. California remains the highest region in the country at $3.778 per gallon. In contrast,the Gulf Coast Region is the most economical area to fill up at $2.881 per gallon.


Diesel Fuel Prices

The average price of a gallon of diesel fuel in the United States for the week of January 28, 2019 is $2.965. Even though the price in California was slightly down from the previous week, it continues to be the highest in the country at $3.726 per gallon. The Gulf Coast Region remains the most economical area of the Union to purchase diesel fuel. The average price in this region is $2.789 per gallon. Seven regions showed a slight decrease in price, while only three increased. Hopefully, this trend will continue in 2019.

DIESEL UP 57 CENTS!!

The cost of diesel fuel is 57.4 cents per gallon higher than it was one year ago. The United States average is now $3.157 per gallon. California is the highest area in the country @ $3.83. The lowest is in the Gulf Coast region @ $2.94 a gallon. The Energy Information Administration sites many factors for the increase. OPEC is committed to reducing oil production until the end of 2018. Tensions between the United States and Iran are another factor. The EIA predicts that the price will climb from now through September. Carrier operations will be effected as this rising expense joins driver compensation as the factor to determine delivery cost.

The U. S on-highway diesel fuel price for the week of April 22, 2018 averaged $3.133 per gallon. It has been on the rise for the past month. The most expensive region in America is on the West Coast. The price per gallon ranges from $3.616 to nearly $4.00 at $3.815. The only region in the country less than $3.00 per gallon is the Gulf Coast at $2.936. Source: www.eia.goc/ diesel

U. S. on-highway diesel fuel price for the week of 01/22/18 averaged $3.025 per gallon. The price went down slightly in seven regions across the country. It went up a few tenths in the five remaining  regions in the United States. California is the highest at $3.643 per gallon. The Gulf Coast Region remains the lowest  at $2.815.

Deep Freeze Felt At Diesel Pump

Bitter cold temperatures across the United States has increased the demand for heating oil and low-sulfur diesel fuel. The price of diesel fuel increased by 7 cents due to this demand. The average retail  price nationwide as of January 10, 2018 is at $2.973 per gallon. This is the highest increase since  January, 2015. The highest price per gallon is in the California region at $3.590. The lowest is in the Gulf Coast region at $2.774 per gallon. It is recommended that because of the frigid temps, drivers should keep their fuel tanks full overnight to prevent clogging and freezing.

The United States on-highway diesel fuel price for the week of 1/8/18 averaged $2.996 per gallon. The price climbed to over $3.00 per gallon in 5 regions throughout the country. California, as expected, is the most expensive at $3.638. The Gulf Coast Region remained the lowest at nearly one dollar less…$2.785.

Diesel Prices

The price of diesel fuel across the nation rose on average three cents on 12/4/2017. The retail price climbed to $2.915 a gallon. It is the highest price of diesel since March of 2015. The price is 47.2 cents more than it was at this time last year. California is again the highest region in the country at $3.585 a gallon. The lowest is in the Gulf Coast region where the price is $2.713.
