EIA Fuel Report: Jan. 4, 2013

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s report released January 4, 2013 the national average diesel price decreased less than a penny to remain at $3.92 per gallon.  The current national average diesel fuel price is 14 cents higher than last year at the same time, however has decreased 12 cents in the last five weeks.

The East Coast price remained unchanged from last week, $4.01 per gallon.  The West Coast went up by less than a penny, keeping them at last weeks average price of $3.99 per gallon.  The Rocky Mountain diesel fuel price droppped five cents making the average $3.75 per gallon.  Both the Midwest and Gulf Coast prices went down by less than a penny.  The Midwest remained at $3.89 per gallon, and the Gulf Coast stayed at $3.83 per gallon.
