President Trump met with leaders from the trucking industry to gain support for his health care proposal. The President told them that the premiums that they are paying, as is the fact with other associations, is “crippling them.” Chris Spear, President of the American Trucking Association was quoted saying “We have shown that the current Affordable Care Act is just plain unaffordable.” UPS Freight health care cost have grown to become 2 1/2 times more than the cost of fuel. Other companies have experienced more than a  $300,000 increase from the previous year. The group all seemed to be in agreement that something has to be done.
