DALKO Employee Spotlight – Cory Johnson

DALKO Resources, Inc. shines the employee spotlight on Senior Accountant Cory Johnson. Upon graduating in June, 2012 from Slippery Rock University, Cory was hired in July of the same year. While at ” The Rock”, he earned his degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance.

Cory still lives in Sharon, PA where he was a first team All-State baseball player for his alma mater. He parlayed his education and athletic ability  into a college scholarship. Cory also played baseball in college where he was the go-to  guy coming out of the bullpen to shut the opposing team down. His passion for the game of baseball is still alive as he umpires PIAA high school and NCAA college games.

Juggling his time between work and officiating, Cory studied for nearly two years and recently passed a series of four test to  earn his way to an internship to become a Certified Public Accountant. After receiving word from The Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy that he had passed, he booked a vacation to Punta Cana with his significant other, Courtney Furwa.

Asked where he sees himself in five years?…Cory said ” Being recognized as a well respected CPA and Controller in my profession with great integrity.”

Way to go Cory!
