DIESEL FUEL WEEKLY UPDATE

The U. S. on-highway diesel fuel price for the week of March 4, 2019 is an average of $3.076 per gallon. The price has been steadily rising over the past month. Every region in the country showed an increase from the previous week. The largest gap in price was between the Gulf Coast Region and California. In the Gulf Coast Region, the price was $2.870 per gallon. In contrast, California came in at $3.779 per gallon!

DIESEL PRICES REMAIN STEADY!

The U. S. average retail price of diesel was unchanged the week of February 4 at $2.965 a gallon. This price is nearly eleven cents cheaper (2018).

The average price increased in three regions…East Coast…Central Atlantic and Lower Atlantic, and dropped in all the other.

Diesel Fuel Prices

The average price of a gallon of diesel fuel in the United States for the week of January 28, 2019 is $2.965. Even though the price in California was slightly down from the previous week, it continues to be the highest in the country at $3.726 per gallon. The Gulf Coast Region remains the most economical area of the Union to purchase diesel fuel. The average price in this region is $2.789 per gallon. Seven regions showed a slight decrease in price, while only three increased. Hopefully, this trend will continue in 2019.

WEEKLY DIESEL FUEL PRICES

The United States on-highway diesel fuel price for the week of 4/02/18 averaged $3.042 per gallon. This price is up 0.032 from the previous week. The price increased in every region in the country. California remained the highest price at $3.714 per gallon. The Gulf Coast region continues to be the most economical at $2.851 per gallon.

Weekly Diesel Fuel Prices

The United States on highway diesel fuel for the week March 25, 2018, averaged $3.010 per gallon. This price is up slightly in every region of the country. The previous week’s average was $2.972 per gallon. The range from highest to lowest was California at $3.669 as compared to the Gulf Coast region at $2.823.

Diesel Prices

The on-highway diesel fuel prices in the U.S. for the week of 7/31/17 averaged $2.531. The price rose on average of 1.6 cents. This is the highest price in two months and Saudi Arabia announced it would make additional cuts in oil production. Diesel cost 13 cents more than it did a year ago. The price is up in every region of the country. California remains the highest at $2.907. The Gulf Coast is lowest at $2.359.

Diesel Prices

The United States on-highway diesel fuel price on 7/10/17 averaged $2.481 a gallon. This price was up nearly one cent from the previous week. As was the case last week, every region in the country showed a slight increase with the exception of the Rocky Mountain Region. The highest price remained in California ($2.867). The lowest again was in the Gulf Coast Region ($2.311).
