Diesel Prices

The average price of on-highway diesel fuel in the United States on 6/12/17 was $2.542. This is slightly down from the previous week. Also, for the first time in recent weeks, every region in the country had reduced prices. California continues to sell the highest priced diesel fuel in the country($2.906). The Gulf Coast remains the lowest at $2.368.

Nevada has raised the speed limit in certain areas of the state to 80 MPH.

They have joined South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Utah in

allowing people to drive 80…mostly in rural areas.

The highest speed limit in the U. S. is 85 mph on a Texas toll road from Austin to San Antonio.

KCS Investing Millions To Upgrade Rail

 

Kansas City Southern will spend nearly $25 million to replace cross ties and repair and update crossings on tracks between Neosho, MO and Blanchard, LA. The project will enhance over 7 miles of rail and replace over 90,000 cross ties. It will also repair or replace 130 road crossings. Crews began work at the end of May. The job is expected to take four months, including projects in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana.

 

Diesel Fuel Prices

The average price of diesel fuel on the highway in the United States

on June 5, 2017 was $2.564. This price is slightly  (.007) lower than

the previous week. Every region in the country was down except New England

and the Rocky Mountain Zone. As been the case for weeks, the highest
