Carload volume for the week was down 3.1 percent compared to the same week last year, while intermodal volume was up 0.9 percent. Total U.S. rail traffic for the week was down 1.3 percent compared to the same week in 2012.

Total rail traffic for the week was up 1.6 percent compared with the same week in 2012.
