Diesel Fuel: Jan. 30

According to the report released today by the U.S. Energy Information Administration diesel fuel prices have been on a general decline since October.  However, diesel prices in the first four weeks of 2013 have been higher than those in 2012.  The EIA anticipate diesel prices to continue to decrease through 2013.  EIA forecasts that the average diesel price will remain around $3.93 per gallon through February then will slowly decline throughout the rest of the year, reaching $3.80 per gallon by the end of the year. Diesel: Jan. 15

According to the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration report for the week of January 15, 2013 the average price per gallon of diesel was down 1.7 cents to $3.894 per gallon.  This is the seventh straight week diesel prices have fallen.  Compared to last year at this time the average price per gallon is up 4 cents.

According to the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration report for the week of January 15, 2013 the average price per gallon of diesel was down 1.7 cents to $3.894 per gallon.  This is the seventh straight week diesel prices have fallen.  Compared to last year at this time the average price per gallon is up 4 cents.

According to the Department of Energy’s Information Administration’s report released January 8, 2013 the average price per gallon of diesel fuel fell 0.7 cents to $3.911 per gallon.  This is the sixth week in a row that the average price has fallen.  However, the average price is up 8.3 cents compared to last year at this time.  The EIA is calling for diesel prices to average $3.84 in 2013 according to their updated short-term energy outlook.

Diesel Prices Decrease

According to the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration, diesel prices fell for the tenth time in the last 11 weeks.  The average price per gallon dropped 0.5 cents to $3.918 per gallon for the week of December 31, 2012.  Compared to last year, the average price per gallon is up 13.5 cents.

EIA is calling for diesel prices to average $3.97 per gallon in 2012, and $3.84 in 2013 in their short-term energy outlook.
